High Octane Offense Powers Gold to Victory

The Montana State women's basketball team almost hit the 100-point mark in its 97-63 win over its men's scout team in the annual Blue/Gold scrimmage, Thursday night in Worthington Arena.
Freshman Addison Harris led five Bobcats in double-figures with a game-high 18 points. Also hitting double-digits were Issy Bunyan 14, Teagan Erickson 12, Dylan Philip and Taylee Chirrick 11.
The Bobcats opened the scrimmage connecting on 12-of-18 from the field, outscoring the scout team 25-8. MSU held a 47-29 advantage at intermission.
"We've got a deep line up, which allows us to do a lot of different things on the offensive end," said MSU head coach Tricia Binford. "I loved our offensive transition and the energy we brought to the court. The energy picked up as we went along.
"Everyone came ready to compete," she added. "We had a good assist/turnover ratio, we were attack-minded, and we shared the ball. There are things we definitely need to work on like our transition defense, but this was a good first step."

Montana State hosts Carroll College, Friday, Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. in exhibition action.
