Cats add size, versatility
BOZEMAN, Montana – Montana State men's basketball coach Matt Logie filled out his first Bobcat team on Thursday when 6-10 forward John Olmsted announced plans to transfer from Arizona State.
The Morenci, Arizona product played in 39 games over his four seasons at ASU, all off the bench, including 10 games last season. He served as a team captain and also earned academic honors.
"We are very excited to add John Olmsted to our basketball family," Logie said. "John provides a degree of size, rim protection, basketball IQ and experience that will be extremely valuable to our team. He was a team captain at Arizona State and the respect that he earned from his coaches and teammates there really stood out to us during this process. As someone who has competed with and against Pac-12 players for the last four years, he has really developed as a player and is ready to reap the rewards of that hard work as a Bobcat."
