MSU adds offensive firepower...
BOZEMAN, Montana – Brian Goracke, a 6-6 junior forward, officially joined the Montana State men's basketball program on Wednesday. Originally from Monroe, Oregon, Goracke transfers from Point Loma.
"I am thrilled to welcome Brian to the Montana State Bobcat family," Logie said. "He is a proven college player with his best basketball in front of him."
Goracke played for Logie at Point Loma as a freshman and sophomore, starting all 33 games in 2022-23 while averaging 12.9 points and 4.3 rebounds for the PacWest champion Sea Lions. He shot 50.5% from the floor, 38.5% from the three-point line, and 73.0% from the free throw line with 65 three-point field goals, second-most on the team.
"Brian had an outstanding three years of production and development at Point Loma and will help establish a strong foundation for our culture during this transition period," Logie said. "His combination of shooting and scoring ability, along with his athleticism and strength on the wing, will provide great floor spacing and versatility for our team."
He averaged 6.3 points and 2.8 rebounds in 2021-22, and in the spring of 2021 he averaged 4.4 points and 2.2 rebounds a game in his first collegiate season. Goracke scored 666 points (9.0 per game) at Point Loma, with 353 career rebounds (3.4), earning Second Team All-PacWest honors last season and academic all-conference kudos as a freshman.
