The Bozeman High School graduates earned All-American Honors for the second-straight season at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field National Championships on Saturday.
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — For the second-straight season, distance runner Duncan Hamilton and high-jumper Lucy Corbett earned All-American honors, as the duo placed ninth and 15th in their respective events on Saturday night.
Kicking off the indoor national championships for MSU, Corbett placed 15th in the high jump after clearing 5-7.75 at the opening height. She failed to clear 5-9.75 at the next height, yet earned second-team indoor All-American honors by placing 15th.
Later in the meet, Duncan Hamilton led for the majority of the men's 3,000-meter finals until the chase pack overtook him in the latter stages of the race. He would finish in ninth with a time of 8:02.71.
This marks the third time Hamilton has earned All-American honors indoors; he was a second-team All-American two years ago in the men's mile, plus he was a second-team All-American last year in the 3,000 meters.
From here, the duo will shift their focus to the outdoor track season, which starts in California at the Redlands Invitational and the Franson Classic on March 17 and 18, respectively. All meet information can be found on the men's and women's track team's schedule pages at msubobcats.com.
