Deden Named Big Sky Player of the Week

Montana State senior forward Lexi Deden was named Big Sky Conference Player of the Week for her performance at the 18th Cancun Challenge played at the Hard Rock Hotel Riveria Maya (Mexico) Convention Center, last week against New Mexico and James Madison.

Deden, a 6-1 product of Missoula, averaged 18.5 points and 10 rebounds per game, while shooting 50% (15-30) from the field and 87.5% from the free throw line. In addition, she also registered four blocks, three steals and an assist in the two games.

In MSU's 75-57 win over New Mexico, Deden recorded a career-high 23 points and hauled down a career-best 14 rebounds, while shooting 60% from the floor and adding two blocks and two steals in thirty minutes of action. She followed that performance with 14 points and six rebounds against James Madison as the Bobcats fell to the Dukes in the final 11 seconds of the contest.

For her efforts, Deden was one of six players named to the Cancun Challenge All-Tournament team.
