Bobcat Women’s Basketball Team Ranks Among Top Academic Programs

The Montana State women’s basketball program earned special mention in the 2021-22 WBCA Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll as announced by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association on Wednesday.
The Montana State women's basketball program earned special mention in the 2021-22 WBCA Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll as announced by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association on Wednesday.
The Bobcats just missed a top 25 ranking with a team cumulative 3.545 grade-point average, just .003 behind No. 25 Cal State Northridge, who recorded a 3.548 GPA. South Dakota State was the top academic program at the NCAA Division I level with a 3.837 average.
"To see our program ranked 27th in the nation in cumulative grade-point average is a tremendous achievement," said Bobcat head coach Tricia Binford. "We talk a lot about championship habits both on the court and in the classroom. We are fortunate to part of an amazing university that helps us perform at our very best on a daily basis and one that cares deeply for its student-athletes."
Montana State had eight players named to the Big Sky Conference Winter All-Academic Team.
