Amin Adamu Garners Repeat NSCA All-America Honors

Montana State’s Amin Adamu was selected by the National Strength and Conditioning Association as an All-American Athlete of the Year for the second consecutive season for his development in strength and conditioning
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Montana State's Amin Adamu was selected by the National Strength and Conditioning Association as an All-American Athlete of the Year for the second consecutive season for his development in strength and conditioning.
Adamu was one of 60 men's and women's student-athletes that play basketball at a college institution that was recognized on the organization's Athletes of the Year list for the 2021-22 season. The award was given in recognition of Adamu's achievement in the development of improved athletic performance through strength and conditioning excellence.
The London, England, native continued to build off numbers he set going from his second to third year in the program. Adamu improved on his benchmarks in the hang clean, deadlift, Bulgarian squat, vertical jump and broad jump. He has recorded a 37.9-inch vertical jump and 10-foot-2 broad jump. In the weight room, Adamu can hang clean 240 pounds, dead lift 480 pounds and has a Bulgarian squat mark of 245 pounds. He's also been clocked at 3.07 seconds in his 3/4 court sprint time.
"Amin has put in a tremendous amount of work to develop himself through strength and conditioning," said Montana State's director of strength and conditioning John Sauer. "He is without question the strongest athlete on the team. He has developed himself into one of the top players in the Big Sky Conference through his dedication in strength and conditioning. Amin is focused and ready to train or practice every day.
"He was a major contributor in the Bobcats' run to winning the Big Sky Championship this past season. It has been an absolute pleasure working with this young man the last three years."
Adamu completed his third season at Montana State with All-Big Sky honorable mention accolades and was a Big Sky Conference All-Tournament choice. Adamu became the program's 40th member of its 1,000-point club during the season.
