EWU was paced by Alyssa Radke with 15 kills and three blocks.
BOBCATS OF THE WEEK: Sophomore Jordan Radick is MSU Offensive Player of the Week after averaging 3.43 kills per set with a .347 attack mark. The Bozeman High product had her best outing of the weekend against Weber State matching a career-high 15 kills. Against ISU, Radick notched nine kills and a .500 attack mark. Freshman libero Lauren Lindseth garnered MSU's Defensive Player of the Week honor after averaging 5.57 digs per set. The Great Falls CMR graduate posted 20 saves against Idaho State and followed that with 19 digs versus Idaho State.
BOBCAT BITES: In its two matches last week against Idaho State and Weber State, the Cats held advantages in kills (14.0/11.4), service aces (1.7/1.1) and digs (16.6/14.6) ... Idaho is 4-16 overall and 1-7 in Big Sky Conference after dropping a 3-0 decision at Northern Colorado, before rebounding for its first league victory of the year with a 3-1 win at Northern Arizona on Saturday. Under the direction of first-year head coach Chris Gonzalez, the Vandals took down NAU as Taryn Vrieling notched 17 kills and 11 digs. Travel Morris was named the BSC's Defensive Player of the Week after recording 11 blocks against the 'Jacks. Eastern Washington is 8-12 overall and 3-5 in Big Sky play after dropping a 3-2 decision at NAU and a 3-0 contest at UNC. EWU is led by Sage Brustad at 3.62 kps.

The Bobcats starting rotation includes four players from the Treasure State. In all, MSU has five athletes from its home turf on the roster. Starters include setter Audrey Hofer (Helena/Capital), middle blocker Jordan Radick (Bozeman), outside hitter Jordan Klein (Ennis) and libero Lauren Lindseth (Great Falls/CMR). The fifth is defensive specialist Shayla Webber (Joliet), who has seen action in 17 of MSU's 21 matches.

In Big Sky Conference action, the Bobcats are fifth in the league averaging 2.18 per set. Individually, Jordan Radick is third in the Big Sky averaging 1.18 blocks per set. CLIMBING THE LADDER:
As the MSU program continues to improve, its numbers within the Big Sky statistical categories have shown improvement. In the 13 team statistical categories compiled by the Big Sky, the Cats rank among the top five in the league in nine categories, including #3 in assists (12.06) and kills (12.70), #4 in opponent assists (11.12), opponent kills (11.44), opponent aces (1.30) and digs (15.94) and #5 in points (16.33), opponent hitting percentage (.200) and blocks (2.18).
TOOL TIME:
Junior outside hitter Kira Thomsen returned to the Bobcat rotation after missing 14 matches due to injury against Montana on Sept. 30. The Parker, Colorado product recorded 11 kills and a team-high 16 digs against Montana. Last weekend, Thomsen tallied 19 kills and 19 digs against Idaho State and Weber State. She posted a weekend-best 13 kills in MSU 3-1 loss to WSU. Last season, the Second Team All-Big Sky Conference pick recorded a career-high 26 kills against Northern Arizona at the league tournament. Junior Emma Pence continues her assault on the Bobcat blocks records. This season, the product of Carson City, Nevada, has totaled 65 blocks, averaging 0.90 per set. Last fall, Pence was one of the top blockers in the nation averaging 1.34 blocks per set, which led the Big Sky and ranked 14th in the nation. Pence's 151 total blocks was tops in the league and seventh in the country. This season, she had recorded six total blocks on three occasions, the last coming against Eastern Washington on Sept. 22.

THE MENACE FROM ENNIS:
Jourdain Klein, a 6-1 outside hitter from Ennis, Mont., is averaging 2.15 kills and 0.91 blocks per set with a .231 attack mark in Big Sky Conference action. Last weekend, she tallied 19 kills (2.71 kps) and three aces, while hitting .310 in matches against Idaho State and Weber State. Against WSU, Klein notched nine kills with a .333 attack mark, and helped MSU to its sweep of Idaho State with 10 kills, a .286 attack mark and two blocks. This fall, she has recorded eight matches with double-digit kills, and nine matches with four or more blocks. She recorded a season-best 13 kills in MSU's contest against North Texas and a season-high eight blocks against Harvard. Klein was named to the Bobcat Invitational All-Tournament team after producing 26 kills and 10 blocks against Boise State, Washington and UNT.
JORDAN IN THE MIDDLE:
Sophomore Jordan Radick matched a career-high 15 kills against Weber State on Saturday night, while hitting .273 (15-6-33) from the field. In MSU's sweep of Idaho State, the middle blocker recorded nine kills and a .500 (9-1-16) attack mark. She also recorded four blocks against ISU and WSU. Two weeks ago, Radick pounded out 20 kills and added 14 blocks against Northern Colorado and Northern Arizona. The Bozeman High product opened league play a month ago, posting 13 kills (1.86 kps) and eleven blocks (1.57), while hitting .300 against Eastern Washington and Northern Colorado. Last weekend, she hit .347 (24-7-49) against ISU and WSU. She has been in double-figure kills on six occasions and has notched eight matches with four or more blocks. Radick was a 2021 All-Big Sky Second Team selection.
THE DISH:
Sophomore setter Audrey Hofer dished out 83 assists, averaging 11.86 per set, while also chipping in 1.43 digs against Idaho State and Weber State, last week. Hofer is third in the Big Sky averaging 10.34 apg. She ranks fifth in overall at 9.31 apg, which is good for 112th in the country. She has registered four double-doubles this fall and recorded a career-high six kills vs. Bryant University.

Sophomore Courtney Weatherby has done an outstanding job on the outside for the Bobcats this fall. The native of Kuna, Idaho has played in 18 matches and 67 sets, averaging 2.12 kills and 2.39 digs per set. Weatherby recorded a career-high 20 kills against St. Thomas (MN) at the Bobcat Classic en route to being named to the all-tournament team. In all, she has been in double-digit kills on eight occasions, and double-figure digs nine times. She leads the Bobcats with seven double-doubles. Weatherby tallied a season-high 22 saves as the Bobcats defeated Fordham on Sept. 9. Weatherby has also done a fantastic job from the service line and is third on the team with 20 aces. She posted three aces against Grand Canyon and Fordham. Against Northern Colorado, Weatherby registered a career-high three blocks, with one solo, and two block assists on Sept. 24. On Sept. 30, the native of Kuna, Idaho recorded 14 digs against Montana.
LINDSETH FAMILY LEGACY:
Montana State freshman libero Lauren Lindseth is part of Bobcat history as one-half of the first mother/daughter duo to play volleyball at MSU. Lindseth's mother - Kelly Modrow - played for the Blue and Gold from 1992-1996. The native of Minnetonka, Minnesota (Hopkins HS) played in 110 matches and 359 sets. In all, her career totals include: 889 kills, 733 digs, 128 blocks and 87 service aces wearing the No. 2 jersey. Like her mother, Lauren also dons the No. 2 uniform. Lindseth has played in all 21 matches and 84 sets this season as MSU's starting libero. On the season, she's totaled 319 digs, averaging 3.80 per contest. In Big Sky play, she is averaging 4.64 digs per set. Lindseth had been in double-digit saves on 14 occasions, including a season and career-high 32 digs as the Bobcat upset Boise State 3-2 in Shroyer Gym on Sept. 15.
