Women’s Golf Completes Round One at The Clash at Boulder Creek

The Montana State women’s golf team has two rounds to go in its final tournament of the fall season.
BOULDER CITY, Nevada — The Montana State women's golf team completed the first round of their final fall tournament at The Clash at Boulder Creek, held at the par-72, 6,309-yard Boulder Creek Golf Club course on Sunday afternoon.
The Bobcats started out strong, placing as high as fourth through the front nine. Yet, the Bobcats are 15th out of 17 Division I teams with a 23-over-311. There are two rounds remaining, with the next one starting Monday at 9 a.m. MT.
Freshman Lauren Greeny is the Bobcats' top performer of the tournament so far with a 4-over-76 that is in a tie for 45th place. She led the team with four birdies — including three in a four-hole span on the front nine — on Sunday.
Scarlet Weidig Velazquez and Cora Rosanova are tied for 62nd place with 6-over-78s; their teammate Kameryn Basye is one stroke behind them in an eight-way tie for 72nd. Maddie Montoya rounded out the Bobcats with an 8-over-80.
The second round of The Clash at Boulder Creek starts at 9 a.m. MT on Monday, Oct. 24. Live scoring will be available on birdiefire.com, or on the Montana State women's golf schedule page at msubobcats.com.
