Young Greed standout to join MSU program in January
BOZEMAN, Montana – Georgios Nouchakis, one of Greece's top Junior players, has signed a National Letter-of-Intent with the Montana State men's tennis team, Bobcat coach Trey Morris announced.
Nouchakis, originally from Rethymno, Crete, has trained in Barcelona the past two seasons and competes on the Tennis Europe Tour and on the ITF U18 Tour for the past six years. His UTR stands at 11.9, and he is ranked 258th by the ITF. Nouchakis has played for the Greek National Team at three European Championships, twice at No. 1 singles. He has advanced as far as the semifinals in 12 ITF or Tennis Europe events, winning five tourneys in doubles play.
"It is very exciting to have a player the level of Georgios join our team this January," Morris said. "Georgios is a very mature, strong player that will bring a tough, gritty, and physical style of play to Bozeman. Our staff cannot wait to get on the court with Georgios."
Nouchakis joins the Montana State program at the start of the second semester.
