Three Bobcats carded 70s in the opening round at the NMSU hosted event

LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Three Bobcats carded scores in the 70s to lead the Montana State golf team through the opening round of the Aggie Invitational at the New Mexico State University Golf Course on Monday.

Kameryn Basye, Bailey Anderson and Jordan Briggs all fired rounds under 80 for Montana State. Basye shot a 3-over-par 75 to lead the way, while Anderson had a team-high three birdies en route to a 4-over 76. Briggs completed her first 18 holes with a 78.

Also factoring into the Bobcat scoring lineup was Hannah Rosanova. She recorded an 80 to close out MSU's first-round 309 as a team. The 'Cats are tied for 16th overall with UT Rio Grande Valley. Incarnate Word leads the team standings after the first by shooting a 282.

Montana State continues play at the Aggie Invitational on Tuesday with the second round slated in Las Cruces at the NMSU golf ccourse. The Bobcats' remaining players also start play at the Griz Invitational in Missoula Tuesday as well.
