The Montana State women’s basketball team will finally take to the court for its first contest of the 2020-21 season when it hosts former Big Sky Conference foe North Dakota on Sunday afternoon.

SEASON OPENER: The Montana State women's basketball team will finally take to the court for its first contest of the 2020-21 season when it hosts former Big Sky Conference foe North Dakota on Sunday afternoon. The game will mark the 16th season-opener for head coach Tricia Binford. Binford is 9-6 in season-openers on the College Hill, including last year's 77-65 win over UC Davis.
SERIES NOTE: Montana State owns an 11-6 advantage in its all-time series with North Dakota. The Bobcats defeated the Fighting Hawks in UND's final game in the Big Sky Conference, 68-58, on March 5, 2018 at the league tournament in Reno, Nevada. MSU has also captured five of the last seven meetings between the two rivals.
YOUNG GUNS: Montana State, along with Oral Roberts, LaSalle and Incarnate Word have the youngest teams in the nation averaging 19.3 years of age. The Bobcats return one starter (Darian White), along with senior Tori Martell, juniors Ashley Van Sickle and Gabby Mocchi, sophomores Sidney Zieske, Skye Lindsay, Madison Jackson, Kola Bad Bear and White. MSU welcomes seven freshmen.
