Horned Frogs Sweep Bobcats in Fight for the Fort Finale`

Landreth, a junior transfer from Summerville, S.C., finished the tournament averaging 2.15 kills and .85 blocks per game, while hitting a team-high .283 from the field. For her efforts, she was named to the all-tournament team.
TCU captured its own Fight for the Fort Tournament title with a 25-16, 25-19, 25-18 win over Montana State on Saturday afternoon. The Horned Frogs finished tournament play 3-0, while MSU, SMU and Louisiana all went 1-2.
TCU (7-3) jumped out early in the opening set taking a 9-1 advantage. The Horned Frogs built the margin to 23-10, before Montana State (3-6) rattled off a late 6-2 run sparked by two kills from Evi Wilson. TCU closed out the frame on an Ashley Waggle kill.
The Bobcats kept the second set close trailing 12-9 before TCU went on an 8-3 run. MSU fought off four sets points in the waning moments before the Horned Frogs' received a kill from Anna Walsh to go up 2-0.
In the final set, TCU went up 12-5 in the early going. The Bobcats closed to within 20-15 on a Hannah Scott kill, but the Horned Frogs closed out the match on a Bobcat blocking error.
"It was a tough way to end a good weekend," said MSU head coach Daniel Jones. "Despite the score line there were a lot of positives we can take away from this match. We know we are on the right path and have a highly motivated and dedicated group who are increasing in belief and constantly looking to grow. There's a real sense of excitement right now."
Scott, a sophomore outside hitter from Hawthorne, Calif., paced Montana State with 10 kills, while McKayla Landreth and Wilson each added eight. Allie Lynch dished out 27 assists and added four digs and two blocks.

Montana State will play Tennessee Tech next Friday to open the Seattle U Tournament.
