The Montana State volleyball team will open its 2018 campaign this weekend at the Cleveland State Invitational in Ohio. The Bobcats will get started early facing Canisius, Friday, Aug. 24 at 7:30 a.m.

CATS OPEN 2018 SEASON AT CLEVELAND STATE INVITATIONAL
The Montana State volleyball team will open its 2018 campaign this weekend at the Cleveland State Invitational in Ohio. The Bobcats will get started early facing Canisius, Friday, Aug. 24 at 7:30 a.m. (MT). MSU will face host Cleveland State at 5 p.m., before wrapping up tournament play against Binghamton on Saturday at 9 a.m. All matches will be played in CSU's Woodling Gym.

A CLOSER LOOK AT THIS WEEKEND'S OPPONENTS:
Canisius went 10-18 overall last fall and were 8-10 in Metro Atlantic Conference action. The Golden Griffins return nine letterwinners, including three starters. Cleveland State, who posted a 22-8 mark last year, is the preseason pick to win the Horizon League. The Vikings are the three-time defending Horizon League champions and return two all-league performers. Binghamton was picked fourth in the preseason America East poll. The Bearcats return Gaby Alicea who was the America East Player of the Year, last fall.
