Bobcat Men's Basketball Promotes Silvey Dominguez to Assistant Coach

Veteran assistant was operations director at MSU a season ago
BOZEMAN, Montana – Silvey Dominguez, Montana State men's basketball's Director of Operations in 2017-18, has been promoted to assistant coach, MSU head coach Brian Fish announced on Monday.
A native of New Mexico, Dominguez has coached at Western New Mexico (1979-82), Southern Colorado (1984-86), Colorado State (1986-88), Air Force (1988-91, 2011-14), Saint Mary's (1991-96), USC (1996-2001), UTEP (2001-01), Utah (2002-03), Wyoming (2003-07), New Mexico (operations director in 2007-08), Lamar (2008-11), Washington State (2014-17). He earned his bachelor's degree from Western New Mexico in 1977, and his master's from New Mexico in 1981.
Fish said he is pleased to elevate Dominguez' role within the Bobcat program. "I'm excited to have a coach with Silvey's experience," Fish said. "He's been an important part of a lot of basketball programs. He's recruited for a long time in the footprint that we feel we can recruit, he has a tremendous amount of contacts, and I'm excited for him to hit the road and start recruiting."
Dominguez is excited to begin his new duties. "I want to thank Coach Fish and Montana State University for the opportunity," he said. "I'm excited for this chance."
