MSU Associate Head Coach Leaves Bobcats to Pursue Professional Opportunities in Texas

Harris was instrumental in the most successful four-year run in Montana State history. During his tenure, the Bobcats went 77-47 overall, won two Big Sky Conference titles and made its first trip to the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament since 1993.
Nate Harris, Montana State's women's basketball associate head coach since 2014, has left the Bobcat program to pursue professional opportunities in Texas.
Harris was instrumental in the most successful four-year run in Montana State history. During his tenure, the Bobcats went 77-47 overall, won two Big Sky Conference titles and made its first trip to the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament since 1993.
As defensive coordinator, Harris made the MSU unit into one of the best in the Big Sky. Last season the Bobcats led the league in 3-point field-goal percentage defense, which also ranked among the top 75 in the nation.
"Nate brought a ton to the table," said MSU head coach Tricia Binford. "Defensively, he took us to a championship level. As a recruiter, he continued to elevate the program. We're going to miss him tremendously, but we're also very excited for him and this opportunity."
Binford will look to fill Harris' position within the week.
