Cats Tabbed Fifth in Big Sky Preseason Poll

“Preseason polls are always fun for the fans as it signals the start of another season,” Binford said. “What matters most is how we look in March. Right now, we need to focus on ourselves and continue to get better every day.”
The Montana State women's basketball team has been picked to finish fifth in the 2018 Big Sky Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll, released by the league office on Thursday afternoon. Head coaches were not allowed to vote for their own team.
In addition, the Bobcats were selected to finish sixth in the annual media poll.
Last season, the Bobcats posted a 16-15 overall mark and a 9-9 Big Sky Conference ledger. Montana State defeated North Dakota 68-58 in the opening round of the league tournament, before dropping a hard-fought 78-74 decision to Idaho.
Tricia Binford, who enters her 14th season with Montana State, returns six letterwinners, including two starters. Binford also welcomes two transfers and five freshmen to the roster.

MSU will host its annual Blue/Gold Scrimmage on Friday at 5:30 p.m. in Shroyer Gym.
