Bobcat fans can participate in a one-of-a-kind "Teddy Bear Toss" at Worthington Arena on Saturday, Dec. 9, as Montana State Athletics and Bank of Bozeman anticipate gathering up an unprecedented number of teddy bears to provide the young people attending Camp Braveheart, through Eagle Mount Bozeman. In the Inaugural Teddy Bear Toss in 2016, Bank of Bozeman and Learfield collected over 300 teddy bears and stuffed animals for the campers of Eagle Mount's Camp Braveheart.
Fans are encouraged to come to the 2 p.m. Cats' men's basketball game, as they host UC Santa Barbara, and bring new or unused teddy bears or other stuffed animals to throw out on the court during halftime. During the game, representatives will be on hand from Eagle Mount, the local organization which is committed to providing quality therapeutic recreational opportunities for people with disabilities and young people with cancer.
"We are excited to once again partner with Bank of Bozeman and Montana State University for this wonderful opportunity," said Jen Beaston Hedrick, Eagle Mount Executive Director. "The Teddy Bear Toss brings a unique, fun way for us to increase local awareness for our Big Sky Kids' program, camps for children with cancer. The Bozeman community has always been crucial to the success of Eagle Mount's programs and the opportunities we provide to our neighbors, friends and family members with disabilities and children fighting cancer. We are grateful for this partnership and awesome event."
