MSU faces strong inside attack
Montana State faces a unique environment, uncertainty about its leading scorer, and a strong inside game when the Bobcats play Binghamton in Cancun, Mexico, on Tuesday. Tipoff is 10:30 am MT.
With Tyler Hall's chances of playing "about 50-50" due to a foot injury suffered last week according to head coach Brian Fish, MSU squares off with a Bearcats squad Fish calls "the most physical, structured team we've played. They have a very impressive inside man (Thomas Bruce) and guards that can really shoot. This will be a challenge."
J.C Show leads the team at 16.5 points a game, with a team-high 12 three-pointers. Bruce shoots 55% from the floor, the best mark on the team, and averages 15.5 points a game. BU opened the season with a win over Morgan State, then dropped consecutive decisions to Cornell, George Mason and Evansville.
After dropping a competitive decision at Louisiana Tech Saturday, Fish said he hopes his team shows continued improvement on Tuesday. "We get a chance to grow as a team this week," he said. "We need to clean up some things defensively, and we need to get healthy. That will get us back into the rotations we'd gotten comfortable with."
After Tuesday's game, the Cats play either Cal State Northridge or Southeast Missouri on Wednesday.
