MSU scores 16 points in second extra period to grab win
Montana State avenged an overtime loss to Idaho three weeks ago with a 94-91 double-overtime victory in Bozeman on Thursday.
Devonte Klines scored 11 points overtime for the Bobcats, despite not registering a field goal in regulation, and the sophomore guard delivered a dagger three-pointer with 1:04 left in the second overtime to help seal the win. He finished the night with 13 points.
Tyler Hall scored a game-high 31 points, 10 extra time. He knocked down five three-pointers on the night. Freshman Harald Frey scored 20 points, connection on three shots from behind the arc, before fouling out in the final minutes of regulation. Sophomore Sam Neumann dominated the glass with a career-best 12 boards.
Bryan Blake lead Idaho with 20 points as the Vandals fall to 9-10 on the year, 4-4 in league play. The Cats extend their win streak to four, raising their record to 10-12 overall, 5-4 in conference.
The Bobcats take on Eastern Washington at home on Saturday. Tip-off is at 2 pm.
