A QUICK LOOK: North Dakota Tops Cats in Fieldhouse on Thursday

UND took advantage of MSU's foul and free throw troubles
Montana State's effort was not enough to overcome the North Dakota Fighting Hawks, as the fell 90-85 at Worthington Arena on Thursday.
Sophomore Tyler Hall led Montana State with 23 points, registering his first double-double of the season and passing the 1,000-point mark for his career. The Bobcats' bench also impressed. Junior Joe Mvzueolo scored 15 in his first game back for the Cats after four weeks on the sideline, and senior Quinton Everett added 13.
The Bobcats held the lead for most of the second half, but the Fighting Hawks led from the 7:46 mark on. North Dakota led by as many as nine, but MSU surged late. With 2:52 left, Hall hit a jump-shot. On the other end, Quinton Everett came up with a critical block that led to another Hall jumper, pulling the Cats within five. North Dakota seven of eight free throws to close out the game.
Missed free-throws were a detriment to the Cats as they shot just 52% from the line, 13-of-25. North Dakota shot 86% at 22-of-26 from the line. Three Fighting Hawks topped 20 points, with Quinton Hooker leading the way with 24. Geno Crandall scoed 22, and Conner Avants netted 20.
The Bobcats, now 1-4 in conference play, 6-12 on the year, look to snap a three-game skid at home on Saturday against Northern Colorado. The Bear are 2-3 in conference play, 7-8 overall. Tip-off is at 2 pm.
