MSU hosts UC Davis on Saturday
Montana State held a 14-7 lead late in the first half, but Southern Utah turned the field position gained after a short punt in the last 150 seconds of the first half into a 70-yard touchdown drive, then never looked back. The Thunderbirds scored 24 straight points to secure a 38-21 Senior Day win in Cedar City. Freshman quarterback Chris Murray ran for one touchdown and threw for another, his fourth game with three total touchdowns this season, and he rushed for more than 100 yards for the third time this season.

• Chris Murray rushed for 106 yards on 19 carries at Southern Utah Saturday, his third 100-yard rushing game this season. All three of those 100-yarders came in the last five games. He is Montana State's leading rusher with 620 yards, and he is just 25 yards from Aaron Mason's school record (645 in 2006) for a true freshman.
• Chris Murray's 15 touchdowns accounted for by a quarterback (nine rushing, six passing) is six from joining MSU's top 10 single-season list – Travis Lulay (twice) and Paul Dennehy each registered 21 in a single campaign.
• Mitchell Herbert – who had nine catches for 138 yards in the previous five games – caught three passes for 106 yards and a touchdown at Southern Utah, his third career 100-yard receiving game. His 15 career receiving touchdowns is fifth in MSU history, one from Sam McCullum's fourth-place total and six from Kelly Davis' school record. He became the eighth Bobcat in history to pass the 100-yard receiving mark in a single game on three catches or fewer (teammate Justin Paige, who caught two passes for 104 yards in a game last season, is also on the list).
• Montana State has failed to take the ball away from its opponent in four straight games, and in that time the Bobcats' turnover ratio is -17.
• Montana State's current six-game losing streak is the program's longest since the team snapped a 16-game skein in 2001.
