Bobcat Basketball Team Spends Meaningful Veterans Day

MSU hoops squad visits Pearl Harbor on Veterans Day
Wednesday was a Veterans Day Brian Fish will never forget.
"Just incredible," said Montana State's second-year men's basketball coach in the minutes after his team spent the afternoon touring Pearl Harbor, site of the 1941 bombing that launched the United States' involvement in World War II. "It is a powerful, meaningful experience, but to be able to take the team there on Veterans Day was amazing."
The Bobcat team met Pearl Harbor survivor Sterling Cale, a U.S. Navy corpsman assigned to a hospital at the Pearl Harbor base who had just left his overnight duties on the morning of December 7, 1941, when the attack began. Cale is one of the last surviving sailors or soldiers from the attack.
The Bobcats open their 2015-16 season Friday at Hawaii. Tipoff is 10:30 pm MT.
