“We played a lot looser and did a great job playing as a team,” MSU Head Coach Tricia Binford said. “We did a nice job making the extra pass. I thought our defense really picked up this weekend, which allows for good energy on the offensive end.”
Five Montana State players scored between eight and ten points, led by Lindsay Stockton with ten as the Bobcats handed Portland State a 63-46 setback, Saturday afternoon in Worthington Arena.
Stockton, a junior from Spokane, scored eight of her points in the first half as Montana State (9-11, 3-6) got out to a 9-0 advantage in the first three minutes. The Bobcats built the lead to 18-points at the 2:21 mark on a Delany Junkermier three-pointer and took a 37-21 cushion into intermission.
