Montana State Looks to Get on Track When UNC Visits Saturday Afternoon

Bobcats, Bears both looking for first win of 2015
The task doesn't get any easier for Montana State on the third day of 2015 than it was on the first.
Northern Colorado (5-7 overall, 0-1 Big Sky) arrives in Bozeman after a league-opening loss in Missoula Thursday, and Bobcat coach Brian Fish knows exactly what to expect. "They're the most physical team in the league," Fish said of the Bears. "They're not a team that just wants to out-shoot you, they want to beat you up and physically dominate you in the paint. I would rate them so far as the most physical team in the league, and that's what they hang their hat on."
UNC's physical play doesn't derive from size, as the Bears don't start a player taller than 6-5. Senior Dominique Lee, one of the trio of 6-5 starters, leads the Big Sky in field goal percentage (63%) and is UNC's top rebounder (7.2 a game). Tevin Svihovec leads a balanced Bears offense, with three of the four starters scoring between 9.5 and 12 points a game.
While wary of Northern Colorado, Fish's main focus is on his Bobcat squad. The Cats, now 3-10 on the year and 0-1 in league play, fell to North Dakota at home on Thursday. MSU shot just 34.7% while turning the ball over 15 times.
"I thought I did a bad job of getting our team ready to play," Fish said. "I thought the other team played better than us from minute one to minute 40. We've got to come back and hold ourselves to standards. We've got to play harder. We've got to sprint to spots. We can't drop our heads, we've got to fight through adversity, and if we don't then we're going to line up and practice Sunday until we get that right. We have plenty of time to get it right, but we're going to get that right."
Tipoff is at 2:35 pm Saturday.
