*? Montana State will be making its eighth straight appearance at the Big Sky Conference Tournament under nine-year head coach Tricia Binford. No. 6 MSU will face No. 3 Montana at 4 p.m. (MST) on Thursday. Other quarterfinal games include No. 2 Southern Utah vs. No. 7 Sacramento State at 1:30 p.m., and No. 4 Eastern Washington vs. No. 5 Idaho State at 6:30 p.m. No. 1 North Dakota gets a first-round bye. On Friday, UND will meet the lowest remaining seed at 4 p.m., followed by the other two quarterfinal winners at 6:30 p.m. The Big Sky Championship game will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m.
*? Montana State moved up to the No. 6 seed by virtue of its victories over Northern Arizona and Sacramento State to close out the regular-season. Last winter, the No. 6 seed wasn't kind to the Bobcats as No. 3 Eastern Washington knocked them off 68-53 in Missoula. However, MSU used some No. 6 seed magic in 2010 defeating No. 3 Sacramento State and No. 1 Eastern Washington, before losing in the championship game to No. 5 Portland State 62-58 in Cheney, Wash.
*? Montana State has captured just one Big Sky Tournament title. MSU defeated Montana in 1993 and advanced to face Washington in the NCAA Tournament First-Round.
*? In all, the Bobcats have played in eight Big Sky Tournament championship games: 1991, 1993, 1995, 1997, 2002, 2003, 2008 and 2010.
