INJURY REPORT
OUT - SEASON: LB Na'a Moeakiola, WR Kurt Davis. OUT – INDEFINITELY: DE Preston Gale, LS Rocky Hogue, LB Rhett Young, OL Christian Williams, OL Charles Lee, DB Trace Timmer. QUESTIONABLE: DT Craig Ashworth, P/K Rory Perez, QB DeNarius McGhee. NOTE – DeNarius McGhee will be examined and evaluated on Monday. A clarification will be issued at some point following the examination.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINEES
Offense – RB Cody Kirk (5-10, 212, Sr, Frenchtown, MT)
Cody Kirk rushed for 107 yards and two touchdowns, leading Montana State's offense in its 31-30 loss at SMU Saturday. Kirk's 12-yard touchdown run on the first drive of the third quarter – a 75-yard scoring drive on which Kirk carried seven times for 36 yards – gave MSU a 30-19 lead over SMU of the BCS automatic qualifying American Athletic Conference. Kirk's 107 yards gives him 2,795 for his career, and his two touchdowns push his career total to 33.
Defense – LB Alex Singleton (6-2, 227, Jr, Thousand Oaks, CA)
Alex Singleton logged a game-high (tied with two others) 11 tackles Saturday against FBS SMU. Among the Bobcat junior's 2.5 tackles were a sack-and-a-half. He also forced a first quarter fumble that changed the momentum of the game. With just under nine minutes left, in the opening period, SMU had run 14 plays to MSU's one. On third-and-goal from the Bobcat three, Singleton made a tackle on Mustangs quarterback Garrett Gilbert and forced a fumble, which was recovered by Rob Marshall to thwart a potential scoring drive. Singleton also registered a sack on Gilbert on the first play of SMU's game-winning touchdown drive.

BOBCAT NOTES
• Montana State has played 40 consecutive home games with an announced attendance larger than what SMU listed Saturday (10,107). MSU's last crowd smaller was the Furman playoff game in 2006, and the last regular season crowd smaller was in 2003.
• Since weather at kickoff has been tracked by official stats starting in 1972, Saturday's 98 degrees is the highest temperature at kickoff ever for a Bobcat football game. The runner-up is 96 degrees for a game at Sam Houston State in 1989.
• Cody Kirk rushed for 107 yards and two touchdowns against SMU on Saturday, raising his career totals to 2,795 yards and 33 touchdowns.
• Cody Kirk has rushed for four touchdowns this season, tied for second in the Big Sky.
• Montana State has been bereft of turnovers in its first two games, and at +4 in turnover margin is second in the Big Sky behind Southern Utah (+6).
• Stephan Sanders' safety Saturday was the first against MSU since Weber State recorded a team safety in 2009.
