Montana State (This Year) Enters the fall in competition for starting honors at cornerback... could play safety... a special teams mainstay. (2014) Played in 12 games... special teams standout... graded out as Core Player on kick teams in eight games... four tackles, playing a considerable amount of DB, at UC Davis. (2013) Played in five games in the fall, logging his only tackle against NAU… played as a reserve corner and also on kick teams. (2012) Did not see game action. (2011) Redshirted at MSU.
High School An honorable mention all-state defensive back who earned second team all-conference honors, as well… a two-time Academic All-State choice with 145 tackles and four interceptions as a senior… earned Great Falls High’s Tim Hodge Award.
Academics A construction engineering technology major.
Personal Born Trace Douglas Timmer on February 19, 1993 in Great Falls… one of three sons of Kirk and Kelly Timmer… both his parents were MSU student-athletes - his father starred on the football team, while his mother, the former Kelly Angelos, played hoops… his brother, Ty, played at Montana.
