Sacramento State opened the game on a 14-4 run and never looked back, en route to a commanding 84-50 win over Montana State, Thursday night in the Hornet's Nest.
Montana State (16-12, 10-9) cut the margin to five points at the 12:42 mark, but Sacramento State (17-11, 12-7) rattled off 28-11 run over the next ten minutes, and entered intermission with a 44-24 advantage.
The Bobcats shot 27 percent from the field in the opening stanza, while the Hornets hit at a 53 percent clip. For the game, MSU ended at 28 percent, while Sacramento State recorded 49 percent from the floor.
MSU did not have a player in double-figures. Jackie Elliott and Jasmine Hommes guided the Bobcats with eight points, apiece. The Montana State starting five connected on just 10-of-42 field-goals.
Sacramento State was led in the win by Kylie Kuhns with 12 points and 13 rebounds.
The Hornets held a 51-44 rebounding edge. The Bobcats were led under the boards by Elliott with a team-high nine rebounds.
MSU will close out its regular-season at Northern Arizona on Saturday afternoon.
