Three Forks’ Shayla Mack Joins Bobcat Basketball Squad

Shayla Mack, a former girls’ basketball standout at Three Forks High School, has been invited to be part of the Montana State women’s basketball program next season, announced Bobcat head coach Tricia Binford.
Shayla Mack, a former girls' basketball standout at Three Forks High School, has been invited to be part of the Montana State women's basketball program next season, announced Bobcat head coach Tricia Binford.
“We're excited to have Shayla walk-on to our program,” Binford said. “She was an outstanding player at Three Forks High School and possesses a great competitive spirit. In addition, she is a fantastic student and has great character, which fits in nicely with what being a Bobcat women's basketball student-athlete is all about.
“Shayla has a huge upside,” Binford said.
The 5-foot-6 point guard for the Wolves averaged 15.4 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.5 steals per game. She was a two-time Class B All-State selection and led TFHS to three consecutive state tournament appearances. As a junior and senior, Mack was the 5B scoring leader and was named Three Forks Female Athlete of the Year on two occasions. She also lettered in volleyball and track and field.
Off the court, Mack was TFHS class valedictorian, a four-time all-state academic honoree and a four-year honor roll selection.
Mack also has strong family ties to Montana State as cousin, Kalli Durham, recently completed her freshman season with the Bobcat women's basketball squad. Mack's grandfather, Lin Durham, uncle, Mick Durham, and cousin, Casey Durham, all played for the Bobcat men's team.
She is the daughter of Bill and Laurie Mack and was coached by Jeff Bellach at Three Forks High School.
