Owens likely to play as kickoff nears
Montana State linebacker Jody Owens, injured last week at UC Davis, is likely to start as pre-game warmups begin Saturday. Owens suffered a leg injury, but practiced Thursday and should be available.
The news is not as good for running back Cody Kirk. The junior running back was injured at Southern Utah and missed last week. He is suited up today, but not likely to play.

Bobcat coach Rob Ash hopes the cure to MSU's turnover woes is simple.
"I think playing an opponent as good as Eastern Washington will clean that up for us," he said. Ash said a re-visit of fundamentals during the week, and an increased focus, manifested itself in practice. "We had a great week of practice and I'm confident we'll take care of the ball today."

Eastern Washington is the highest ranked visitor to play in Bobcat Stadium since Montana visited ranked first in 2009. EWU was ranked in the top 10 - 9th - in its last trip to Bozeman, 2010. The Cats won that game, 30-7.
