Biglow brings impressive resume to Montana State program
Antonio Biglow, the 2011 Southern California Junior College Player of the Year, has signed a National Letter-of-Intent to play for Montana State next season, Bobcat coach Brad Huse announced Sunday.
Biglow, a 6-0 guard originally from Los Angeles, averaged 22.4 points a game as a sophomore for Mt. San Antonio College in 2010-11, 27 points an outing in conference games. He also chipped in six assists, five rebounds and two steals a contest, earning SCC North Division Player of the Year honors for the second straight season.
Huse expects Biglow to positively impact the Bobcats immediately. “We've added a difference maker in Antonio,” Huse said. “He can affect a game in a lot of ways, and while he is a great scorer, he is also a tremendous passer. He is a basketball junkie and he really competes hard. He'll play both guard positions for us.”
Biglow helped lead Mt. SAC to a 23-6 overall record last season, including an 11-2 league mark. He said Biglow's game translates well to Division I basketball and the Big Sky Conference. “Antonio is a very fast, very athletic player and he's very confident with the ball in his hands,” Huse said. “He knows where and how to deliver the ball. He just knows how to make plays, and he will be a huge catalyst for us.”
Biglow joins a Bobcat squad significantly retooled for 2011-12. “It has been an intense spring recruiting stretch for Coach (Temesghen) Starr, Coach (Scott) Carson and myself, and we're starting to see things come together,” Huse said. “With our four signees we've added some proven, high-octane players who combined with our strong core of returners should be one of our most talented groups top to bottom.”
