The Montana State women’s basketball team dropped a 66-56 decision to Seattle in the opening round of the SU Thanksgiving tournament, late Friday night in the Connolly Center.
The Montana State women's basketball team dropped a 66-56 decision to Seattle in the opening round of the SU Thanksgiving tournament, late Friday night in the Connolly Center.
Montana State (2-3) shot just 25 percent from the field in the first half, and allowed the Redhawks to shoot at a 52 percent clip in the second stanza. The Bobcats were never able to get closer than six points late in the game.
MSU was paced in the loss by Katie Bussey and Lyndi Seidensticker, who chipped in 15 and 13 points, respectively.
The Bobcats had a 45-39 advantage in rebounding, but committed 18 turnovers to SU's 11 miscues. Sarah Balian fell one rebound shy of her career-high pulling down a game best 15 boards. Sophomore Rachel Semansky also hit double-digit rebounding with ten boards.
MSU will face the University of Arkansas Little Rock at 7 p.m. (MST) in the consolation game Saturday evening.
