Montana State’s cold shooting continued for the second straight night as the Bobcats dropped a 51-48 decision to Arkansas Little Rock in the consolation game of the Seattle Thanksgiving Tournament, Saturday night in the Connolly Center.

Montana State (2-4) shot 37 percent from the field, including 23 percent from three-point range.
UALR (3-3) took an early 5-0 lead and built the margin to 29-19 at the 1:12 mark of the opening stanza on a Janette Merriex triple. The Trojans entered intermission with a 29-21 advantage.
In the second stanza, the Bobcats tied the score at 42-all on a Sarah Balian three-pointer with 4:06 remaining. UALR went on a 5-0 run to retake its advantage, before MSU pulled to within 49-48 with 23-seconds left on a pair of Ally Schmitt free throws.
Following two free throws by UALR with eight seconds remaining, the Bobcats had one shot to send the game into overtime, but Balian's three-point attempt at the buzzer rimmed out.
For the game, the Bobcats were paced by Balian with 13 points and six rebounds. Also in double-figures were Chelsea Banis 12 and Schmitt 10. Schmitt, MSU's starting point-guard, also dished out eight assists.
UALR held a 39-32 advantage in rebounding. MSU was guided by Rachel Semansky with a team-high ten rebounds.
Merriex paced the Trojans with 11 points and eight rebounds.
After playing its first six games away from Worthington Arena, the Bobcats will host Denver on Tuesday, Nov. 30 at 7 p.m.
