MSU signed a Mohamed Fall on Thursday
Montana State increased its experience and athleticism inside on Thursday when junior college center Mohamed Fall signed National Letter-of-Intent to join the Bobcat men's basketball program for the 2011-12 season, MSU head coach Brad Huse announced.
A native of Dakar, Senegal, Fall is a 6-9, 235 lb center from Cloud County Community College in Kansas. He averages 12 points and nine rebounds a game this season, including a 15 point/10 rebound outing in his most recent contest.
“Mo is really a physical presence inside who can change how a game is played with his defense and his ability to change shots and rebound the basketball,” Huse said. “He continues to develop offensively, and that will be the case when he arrives at Montana State. He's relatively new to the game of basketball, but he is a very intelligent kid who has shown that he wants to be here, and I think he'll enjoy a couple of great years in our program.”
Cloud County coach Chad Eshbaugh said Fall's rapid improvement is rooted in his desire. “First and foremost, Mohamed is a good player who is going to get better every day,” said Cloud County coach Chad Eshbaugh. “His best basketball is definitely in front of him. But as good a player as he is, he's even a better person. He's a great kid and a great person who's going to be a very good player before it's all said and done. He's a true, physical interior defender. He blocks shots and rebounds and he's a developing player offensively. The thing about him is that he's such a hard worker. I've never had a player come along as fast as Mo.”
