MSU fans get their first live look at 2010-11 hoops team
Montana State men's basketball fans get their first look at the 2010-11 Bobcats on Wednesday, and Brad Huse promises there will be no “Hello, My Name Is…” stickers in sight. But MSU fans may want to have a program handy.
“We have a lot of new guys, so there are some challenges there,” Huse said. “But I love the energy. I love how hard they're working, and they're picking things up fairly well.” The Bobcats scrimmage at 7 pm in Worthington Arena on Wednesday, a session which is free and open to the public.
The Bobcats welcome nine newcomers and a pair of 2009-10 redshirts, but three accomplished veterans return. “I think the fact that we were picked fifth in the league by the coaches and media speaks to the respect around the league for Bobby Howard and Erik Rush and Danny Piepoli,” Huse said. “Those three guys have played a lot of basketball at a high level, and that's a good starting point. We're expecting Cody Anderson (a junior center) to take a step forward this year, as well.”
Montana State plays its lone exhibition game on November 5 against Mayville State.
