MSU Men Picked Fifth in Preseason Conference Poll

Big Sky Conference coaches and media each see Montana State's men's basketball team finishing in the middle of the league's pack this season according to polls released by the conference office on Wednesday.
Weber State sits at the top of each preseason poll, while Montana, Portland State and Idaho State occupy the next three spots in each poll in differing orders. The Bobcats stand fifth in both polls.
MSU was picked eighth (coaches) and seventh (media) in the 2009 Big Sky preseason polls, finished sixth in the regular season, and advanced to the conference tournament's championship game before losing in the final seconds. MSU returns four starters from that squad.
