2012: Indoor- Placed fifth in the pentathlon at the Big Sky Championships ... came in second at the season opening MSU Combined Events in the pentathlon ... fastest time of the season in the 55 hurdles clocked in at 8.49 ... best leap in the long jump was 5.43m ... Big Sky All-Academic selection ... still ranks eighth in the 55 hurdles fron her 8.26 performance, third in the pentathlon and 10th in the long jump from 2011. Outdoor- Placed third in the heptathlon with a lifetime best score of 4,957 points ... also compted in the 100 hurdles, long jump and javelin at the conference meet ... placed 12th in the heptathlon at the Mt. SAC Relays ... Big Sky All-Academic honoree ... ranks sixth in the program in the heptathlon.
2011: Indoor- Earned a silver medal at the Big Sky Championships in the pentathlon with a career best 3,731 points … finished third in the pentathlon at the Mountain States Games (Jan. 28). Outdoor – Placed sixth at the Big Sky Championships in the heptathlon … came in ninth in the long jump at the Payton Cardinal Invitational with a leap of 5.43m … earned a silver in the long jump at the Cat-Griz Dual … competed at the prestigious Mt. SAC Relays in the heptathlon where she earned her lifetime best score of 4,917 and placed seventh overall … Academic All-Big Sky Conference selection.
2010: Outdoor- Competed at the Mt. SAC Relays and took sixth in the heptathlon … finished first in the 100H at the Bobcat Open (April 10) … participated in the Big Sky Championships in the heptathlon and took sixth place with 4,842 points.
2009: Indoor- Qualified for Big Sky Championships in the pentathlon where she finished in 10th place with 3,278 points … also competed in the long jump (5.27m) and 60H (9.17) where she finished sixth in both. Outdoor- Placed ninth in the heptathlon at Big Sky Championships with 4,638 points.
Prior to MSU: A 2008 graduate of Butte High School … earned four letters in track and field and three in volleyball … as senior, finished second at the Class AA state meet in the 100H and 300H … named Best Female Athlete and Best Track Athlete at BHS in 2007-08 … team captain in volleyball in 2007 and 2006 … 2007 Class AA state champion in the 100H as a junior … earned second team all-state honors as a volleyball setter in 2005.
Personal: Sarah Rose McGree … born March 21, 1990 … daughter of Steve and Terry McGree … majoring in Health and Human Performance … cousins Marcus and Nick McGree also ran track and field at Montana State.
