.....four Bobcat student-athletes provide a cooperative blog from their own perspective on the adventures they encounter studying abroad this summer.

This past Friday, we wrapped up studio early and took the high speed train to Venice. I did not know what to expect but I can honestly say that this was one of the most interesting and beautiful cities that I have ever been too.

A few things amazed me about Venice; the engineering and inventiveness of the buildings, the streets of water, and all the hidden things found in-between.

We spent the first afternoon in Venice visiting a building designed by the famous architect Carlo Scarpa. The second day at the 2014 Architecture Biennale, checking out pavilion exhibitions from countries around the world. And the final day we had our own time to explore and add to our sketchbook.
