Bobcats Picked Second in Big Sky Women’s Golf Preseason Coaches’ Poll

Montana State opens season at Branch Law Firm/McGuire Invitational on Sept. 14-15
FARMINGTON, Utah --- The Montana State women's golf team earned a second-place ranking in the Big Sky Women's Golf Preseason Coaches' Poll ahead of the 2026-27 season, the conference office announced on Thursday.
The Bobcats, who finished third at the 2026 Big Sky Women's Golf Championship in April, tallied 88 points in the coaches' poll, while receiving two first-place votes in a poll of the league's 11 head coaches, who were not permitted to vote for their own teams.
Montana State is coming off a record-breaking campaign that featured a school-record 295.17 four-player scoring average, five All-Big Sky individual honors, four Big Sky Golfer of the Week awards, three individual victories, and its first team win since 2002 with its 15-stroke victory at the 2025 Yellowstone Intercollegiate. The Bobcats will field a seven-player roster in 2026-27, which includes seniors Eva Heinz and Norah Seidl, who earned medalist honors at the Yellowstone Intercollegiate and Big Sky Championship last season; junior newcomers Elvira Flodström and Nadia Sanz Ouezzani; and sophomores Sailor Graham, Lauren Nau, and Ashleigh Wilson. Montana State opens its season at the Branch Law Firm/McGuire Invitational in Albuquerque, N.M., on Sept. 14-15.
