Bobcat Drop Women's Tennis Decision at Colorado

MSU swept by the Big 12 Buffaloes
(Jan. 23, 2026) – Colorado won the doubles point then swept the singles matches in straight sets to earn a 7-0 women's tennis win over Montana State in Boulder, Colorado on Friday.
Kavya Khirwar fought to a 6-1, 7-6 (3) defeat at No. 5 singles, and Terezie Stverakova dropped a 6-2, 7-5 decision at No. 4. Nia Gelashvili (6-4, 6-3 loss at the top ladder spot), Anna Wise (6-2, 6-2 loss at No. 2), Angel Bean (6-2, 6-4 loss at No. 3) and Lola Bean (6-1, 6-2 loss at No. 6) filled out the Bobcat lineup.
Montana State falls to 2-1 on the season, while CU wins its season opener. The Bobcats play at Colorado State on Sunday.
