Montana State opens its 2025-26 road schedule at the University of Portland, Friday, Nov. 7 at 7 p.m. (MT) in the Chiles Center.

TALKING TUESDAY: Both Montana State and Portland won their season openers on Tuesday. The Bobcats defeated Carroll College 93-41, while Portland knocked off Willamette 95-43.
ABOUT THE BOBCATS: The 2024-25 season for the Montana State was one for the ages. Led by head coach Tricia Binford, the Cats recorded a 30-4 overall record and a 17-1 mark in Big Sky action. MSU's 30 victories were the highest ever recorded in the Big Sky Conference. On the court, the Bobcats were led by Big Sky regular season and tournament MVP Esmeralda Morales and Big Sky Defensive Player of the Year Taylee Chirrick. MSU captured the regular season and Big Sky Tournament titles and advanced to the NCAA Championships where they played Ohio State in first-round action.
ABOUT THE PILOTS: Last season, Portland recorded a 31-5 overall record and a 17-3 slate in West Coast Conference action. The Pilots defeated Washington State (72-57) in its first game at the WCC Tournament, before falling to Oregon State (59-46) in the championship tilt. UP went on to play in the Women's Basketball Invitation Tournament where it defeated Stanford (69-68 OT) and Seton Hall (61-55), before dropping a 71-61 decision to Villanova in quarterfinal action.
DULY NOTED: Montana State sophomore Addison Harris' mother Carla (Idsinga) played at Portland from 1993-97. During the 1996-97 season and coached by the legendary Jim Sollars, UP went 27-3 and 14-0 in WCC action, advancing to the NCAA Tournament. Idsinga was named the Pilot's most inspirational player that season.
