Bobcats Add Graduate Transfer Dmitry Bezborodov from Monmouth

Newest Bobcat arrives with one year of eligibility
BOZEMAN, Montana – Dmitry Bezborodov, a graduate transfer from Monmouth, joins the Montana State men's tennis program, head coach Rob Bareford announced.
A native of Almaty, Kazakhstan, Bezborodov comes to the Bobcats with one season of eligibility. He earned Third Team All-CAA honors in both singles and doubles as a junior in 2023, and second team singles honors in the MAAC as a sophomore in 2022. He compiled a 37-21 singles record in his two-year career at Monmouth, 33-18 in doubles, and was the Most Outstanding Player at the 2022 MAAC Championships.
Bezborodov began his college career at NCAA Division II Tusculum, where he finished 16-4 in singles play, all at No. 1, and 15-6 at No. 2 doubles. He earned South Atlantic Conference Freshman of the Year honors, along with First Team All-SAC in singles and second team in doubles.
Equally accomplished in the classroom, Bezborodov completed his bachelor's degree at Monmouth, where he earned ITA Scholar-Athlete honors in both his seasons. He was also inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society. A graduate of the Republican School of Olympic Reserve in his hometown of Almaty, Bezborodov owns a UTR high of 12.06.
