Tayla Moeykens, Bobcat Bulldoggers Shine at CNFR on Thursday

Bobcats standing strong as third go nears end
Mike Nannini and Jaden Whitman posted two of the top four steer wrestling times on Thursday and five Bobcat men remain in contention for Saturday's short go at the 2023 College National Finals Rodeo in Casper, Wyoming.
On the women's side, Tayla Moeykens stands second in the barrel racing after posting a 13.91 on Thursday. That is the best mark of the third round so far.
In addition to Nannini and Whitman, Bode Spring's 6.9 leaves him firmly in contention to rope again Saturday, as well. With 11 competitors remaining in the third go, and 12 advancing to Saturday, Nannini is currently in third place, Whitman fourth, and Spring ninth. Trav Johnson competes on Friday.
Caleb Meeks posted a 68.5 on Thursday, and he stands ninth entering the final performance before the championship go.
