MSU Sending Competitors to Montana Cross Country Invitational

The Montana State cross country team is set to have representation at the Montana Invitational that begins at 4 p.m. on Friday
MISSOULA, Mont. – The Montana State cross country team is set to have representation at the Montana Invitational that begins at 4 p.m. on Friday at the UM Golf Course. MSU is expected to provide stiff competition to the men's 7-kilometer field and the women's 5-kilometer race.
The Bobcats won't have their full complement of runners participating in the meet, but MSU will be placing a full women's squad and a handful of men's athletes for their respective competitions.
Following the MSU Cross Country Classic this past Saturday in Bozeman, the 'Cats will send a group of runners that will be running in a meet that consists of all Montana institutions. The men's race features 10 teams with athletes from MSU, Montana, Carroll College, Montana Tech, Montana Western, MSU Billings, MSU Northern, Providence, Rocky Mountain and Yellowstone Christian. While the men's race has 74 athletes entered into the competition, the women's race that follows at 4:45 p.m. has 79 participants entered.
Race results for the meet can be found on Competitive Timing. MSU follows its appearance at the Montana Invitational with a trip to Tallahassee for the Florida State/Pre-National Invitational on Oct. 15.
