Montana Shrine Bowl and Car Trouble Pushed Back the Arrival of Five Bobcats
August 16
1993 - In a scenario hard to envision in contemporary college football, August 16, 1993, saw five Bobcats report late for preseason camp. Starting guard Cory Brye arrived after experience car trouble on the drive back to Bozeman from his native Wisconsin, while four Bobcats checked in after competing in the Montana Shrine Game. Clay Allard, Mike Henneberg, Masson Riddle and Tyson Tucker each participated in their first practice as Bobcats. In the 21st century, many high school players forego high school all-star games in order to work out with their college teams in the summer months.
