Bobcat Duo Claims Big Sky Track & Field Athlete of the Week Honors

Evelyn Adams and Leah Klein claimed Big Sky awards for the first time on Monday
FARMINGTON, Utah – Montana State swept the final week of Big Sky Conference Track and Field Athlete of the Week award honors on the women's side on Monday, Feb. 24. The league announced Evelyn Adams and Leah Klein as its track and field recipients, respectively.
Adams recorded her personal-best time with the Bobcats in the 60-meter hurdles at the Big Sky Tuner in Bozeman on Friday. Her converted time of 8.91 seconds ranks her 10th on the Big Sky performance list and placed her first in the event. She also took fifth overall at the same meet in the long jump with a mark of 16-11.50.
Klein placed atop the shot put standings and finished third in the weight throw at the Big Sky Tuner. Klein completed a throw of 45-09 in the shot put and also tossed a mark of 53-11.25 in the weight throw. Both were among her top three throws this season.
Montana State heads to Pocatello, Idaho, next to compete in the Big Sky Indoor Championships. The meet opens with the multi-events on Thursday, Feb. 27, with individual events starting on Friday.
