Tyler Hall Selected to Participate in Portsmouth Invitational Tournament

The all-time record holder in scoring in Montana State men’s basketball program history and Big Sky Conference history is scheduled to compete in the 2019 Portsmouth Invitational Tournament
PORTSMOUTH, Va. – The all-time record holder in scoring in Montana State men's basketball program history and Big Sky Conference history is scheduled to compete in the 2019 Portsmouth Invitational Tournament.
Former Bobcat Tyler Hall was announced as a selection for the 2019 PIT by the organization on Tuesday. The tournament will be played at the Churchland High School Sports Complex in Portsmouth, Virginia, from April 17-20.
The PIT invites 64 of the best college basketball seniors from across the nation to participate in a four-day, 12-game tournament in front of representatives from every NBA team. The event is in its 68th year and is played in front of approximately 200 NBA representatives along with scouts from numerous international leagues. Each player is guaranteed to play in a minimum of three games.
The entire field of 64 players from the 2018 event are currently playing professionally either in the NBA, the G-League or overseas. Thirty-two of the 128 players that have played in the last two years of the competition have spent time on an NBA team during the regular season.
Hall completed his historic career for the Bobcats by scoring over 2,500 points during his four years in Bozeman. The 2018-19 men's college basketball season ended with Hall at No. 9 all-time in Division I history in 3-pointers made (431) as he converted on a 40 percent clip from long range. The Rock Island, Illinois, native was named a First Team All-Big Sky selection for the second time his senior season. He earned all-conference honors every season during his collegiate career and he was the 2015-16 Big Sky Freshman of the Year.
Hall finished the 2018-19 season third in the Big Sky Conference in scoring by averaging 20.5 points per game. He led the Big Sky in 3-point field goals made (116), was fourth in the league in free throw percentage (83.3), and also was in the top 15 in assists (2.8) and steals (1.1) per game.
