The Montana State University Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and Bobcat student-athletes have teamed up with the MSU VOICE Center to stand up against sexual assault.
During the summer of 2017, the Big Sky Conference and its institutions' SAAC representatives created a blueprint for a conference-wide SAAC initiative aimed at raising awareness and providing education to address sexual violence on each Big Sky campus.
Over the course of the past year, Montana State student-athletes have worked to raise awareness of sexual assault and prevent sexual violence. Sexual assault and relationship violence are issues affecting every college campus in the country. SAAC's goal is to use their platform to positively impact the culture around them and be a part of the solution.
Pledging to do their part, the Montana State SAAC has begun to raise funds for the MSU Survivor Fund, which will directly assist local survivors of sexual assault and relationship violence. The fund provides financial support to survivors throughout the Gallatin Valley and has a significant impact in helping all members of the community affected by these crimes. All the funds raised by the MSU SAAC GoFundMe directly assists local survivors of sexual assault and relationship violence.
At Saturday's football game, members of the Montana State Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, along with members of the Montana State VOICE Center and Bozeman Help Center, will be recognized for this partnership and effort to et the expectation.
