MSU visits Eastern Washington Saturday at 3 pm MT
SPOKANE, Washington - Montana State's swing through the Palouse - and through the top of the Big Sky Conference men's basketball standings - continues Saturday when the Bobcats face Eastern Washington at 3 pm MT in Cheney. The game is televised on Eleven Sports.
The Eagles earned perhaps the Big Sky's most impressive win of 2018 Thursday by beating Montana 74-65. Eastern is led by star Bogdan Bliznyuk, who averages 19.8 points and 6.7 boards a game, and also leads the team with 99 assists. The Eagles enter Saturday's game with a 13-13 overall mark, but stand 8-5 in Big Sky play, a half-tick ahead of 8-6 Northern Colorado.
Montana (13-1), Weber State (11-2), and Idaho (10-3) stand at the league's pinnacle during the third-to-last weekend of conference games - and if those names ring familiar to Bobcat fans they should, because the Cats played at Idaho last night and face the other two in the next two weeks - while EWU clings to fourth.
Montana State continued its offensive uptick in Thursday's 88-78 loss at Idaho, shooting 45.0%, its best mark in a road game since the league opener. But the Cats lost the battle of the boards 42-to-27, have been out-rebounded 86-to-62 in the last two games, and more pertinently Thursday surrendered a season-high 26 second-chance points to the Vandals.
Saturday's game is available around the Treasure State on the Bobcat Radio Network, as well as on WatchBigSky.com and Pluto.TV.
